CommuniGate Server |
Welcome to the CommuniGate Server - the kernel part of the CommuniGate System. The Server runs in background as a so-called faceless application: like a system extension, it is invisible, but being an application it does not conflict with other extensions.
The CommuniGate Server:
- stores all messages composed by users and received via communication modules;
- enables users to connect from the same machine or via an AppleEvent-compatible network
- enables users to employ the CommuniGate Client software or other compatible products to compose, view, read and process messages;
- creates the run-time environment for communication modules, reducing the size of the modules and increasing the overall efficiency;
- routes messages to various systems and/or modules employing the built-in Router.
- processes incoming mail for the local accounts, following the Rules specified by the users.
